Chairman - Greg Harbut
Greg Harbut is a Lexington, KY based 3rd generation horseman. He is the great-grandson of Will Harbut – the legendary groom of Man O’ War. Greg is the proprietor of Harbut Bloodstock, an international bloodstock agency that has acquired sixteen grade one winners, and he is the founder of Living The Dream Stables, a thoroughbred syndication venture comprised of minority owners.
As a member of the ownership group of Necker Island, Greg recently joined the esteemed ranks of black Derby horse owners. Given the ownership interest of his grandfather, Tom Harbut, in 1962 Derby runner, Touch Bar, Greg is one of very few descendants of Derby horse owners to share that distinction with an ancestor.
President - L. Clark Williams
L. Clark Williams is a native of Lexington, KY, and a co-founder of the Ed Brown Society. In addition to serving as president of the Ed Brown Society, he is also the managing member of Progression Strategic Solutions, a media production, public relations and strategic planning consulting firm. Clark also has a wealth of experience in banking and government.

Educationally, Clark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, a Juris Doctor degree from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville and a Master of Theology degree from Campbellsville University. Clark has served in numerous community engagement and social justice roles. As an ordained minister, Clark also serves on the Steering Committee of Black Faith Leaders of Lexington & Vicinity.
Clark is an avid thoroughbred racing enthusiast, and has been a partner in Living The Dream Stables for several years.

Program Coordinator - Shania Rayford
Shania Rayford is a Lexington, KY native. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, and a Master of Science degree in Sport Leadership.
Growing up, Shania held a strong appreciation for African American history. Learning of the struggles faced by those before her always motivated Shania to work hard and persevere to achieve her goals. When introduced to the Ed Brown Society, she was immediately intrigued to learn that African Americans have contributed so extensively to the success of the industry. Going forward, she was determined to learn more and add to that legacy. Upon joining our team, Shania said, “I am honored to be a part of the Ed Brown Society and look forward to furthering our organization’s mission!”
